People who work with asbestos for years and have been exposed to asbestos think can avoid developing mesothelioma. Exposure to asbestos is not the only factor that would effect people's health. At work people can use Protective gears that can be worn in suspected asbestos areas or material. The Clothes that are worn while working with Asbestos should be left back on the work site. Individuals who are exposed to Asbestos but have not developed any kind of Asbestos related disease should be careful and monitor their health regularly like:
  • Mesothelioma Blood Test: This test can detect Mesothelioma before the symptoms that appear as per the guidelines approved by FDA. 
  • Dubbed Mesomark test can be administered by a doctor at his office. It has to be done annually. 
  • Imaging & Other Tests: Asbestos exposed individuals can be monitored by a diagnostic Imaging Test like X-Ray 
  • Pulmonary Function Test to know and measure the level of working of Lungs. 
  • Avoid Smoking as this severely increases the possibility of developing the Asbestos disease. If smoking is continued this may lead to much higher risk
  • of developing Mesothelioma.
